Terms and Conditions


These terms and conditions are between White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd (The Company) and the customer (The Customer).


Onsite Courses (at customer’s premises or location other than the trainer’s premises)


Open Courses (premises normally supplied by the training company)


Bookings

  • The customer will place an order using a booking form via the White Rose Training website by post or email.
  • Orders are placed on the understanding that the following terms and conditions are agreed by the customer.
  • All orders are subject to acceptance by the Company and will be confirmed by email.
  • Once an order has been confirmed it will constitute a legally binding contract between the company and customer.


Onsite Courses

  • White Rose Training will supply a suitably qualified trainer to your premises at a date and time agreed at the time of the booking.


  • If the customer wishes to cancel a booking, the customer must notify the company in writing by registered letter or e-mail (‘Notice of Cancellation’).


  • For the avoidance of doubt the Notice of Cancellation will not be accepted by telephone. If the company receives a Notice of Cancellation more than 10 working days prior to the commencement of the course a full refund of any course fees paid shall be given (with no cancellation penalty due).


  • If the company receives a Notice of Cancellation less than 10 working days prior the commencement of the course the full course fee shall remain payable and no refund shall be given.


  • A course may be re-scheduled to a later date if the company receives notice of a re-scheduled course less than 10 working days prior to the course. In this case an administration fee will be payable.


  • On occasions a booking has to be cancelled by White Rose Training due to unforeseen circumstances. It is accepted by the customer that White Rose Training cannot compensate the customer for any losses arising from the cancellation.


  • In these circumstances, the customer will be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund.


  • If you have booked an onsite course and the site conditions are not appropriate for the provision of first aid training, the customer agrees to abide by the trainer’s decision as to whether the site is fit for purpose and agrees that the full course fee is still payable if training were not to proceed on the basis of unsuitable training condition. The training venue must meet acceptable health and safety standards and be conducive to learning with sufficient:

  • Size
  • Covid-19 awareness
  • Floor surfaces
  • Seating
  • Writing surfaces
  • Toilet facilities
  • Heating
  • Ventilation
  • Cleanliness


If you are unsure, the team at White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd will be happy to advise you on the suitability of your premises.


Open Courses

  • White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd will offer a range of public “open” courses at approved training centres throughout Yorkshire.


  • The customer will place an order using a booking form via the White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd website or by post or email.


  • Reservations will be held for 3 days and confirmed upon payment of a proforma invoice. White Rose Training reserve the right to cancel your unconfirmed reservation should the course become oversubscribed after the 3 day period.


  • If the customer wishes to cancel a booking, the customer must notify the company in writing by registered letter or e-mail (‘Notice of Cancellation’).


  • For the avoidance of doubt the Notice of Cancellation will not be accepted by telephone. If the company receives a Notice of Cancellation more than 10 working days prior to the commencement of the course a full refund of any course fees paid shall be given (with no cancellation penalty due).


  • If the company receives a Notice of Cancellation less than 10 working days prior the commencement of the course the full course fee shall remain payable and no refund shall be given. Payment

  • A legally binding contract will be formed when White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd confirms acceptance of your order.


  • You agree to be invoiced by email immediately with the invoice payable within 14 days of the date of the invoice.


  • If courses are booked within 14 days of the date of the course the invoice becomes payable immediately.


  • If you fail to adhere to these terms and conditions, White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd reserve the right to cancel the course with the full course fees becoming payable or will withhold your training certificates until such time as the course fees are paid.


Non payment of fees

  • Where an invoice remains unpaid and is overdue by over one month, White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd reserves the right to seek to apply to a debt collecting agency for collection. In all instances, the whole cost of collection becomes payable with the original invoice.


  • Certificates will be withheld until the whole debt is paid.


General

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any First Aid Course students are free from any condition that would affect their capability to carry out the necessary physical assessments. The student must be capable of successfully performing a number of floor based practical assessments.


White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd should be notified in advance of any course if any student needs assistance in relation to written assessments.


White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd cannot guarantee that every student will achieve the learning outcome and pass any course. No refund will be given shall be given should a delegate fail a course.


To be eligible to attend a FAW requalification course, students must present a valid FAW certificate issued by an HSE provider which is in date on the last day of the requalification course. The HSE allows a maximum period of 28 days from the expiry of the original FAW certificate.


All students must wear suitable clothing for the first aid course where it is accepted that they will be doing some floor based practical activities. Lipstick must not be worn.


If a student arrives late for a course, or is absent from any session, White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd reserve the right to refuse to accept the student on the course. In these cases the full fee remains payable.


All students must provide photo ID to the trainer. Without this, certificates may be withheld. If this proves difficult please contact White Rose Training (Yorkshire) Ltd to discuss other options.


It is the customer’s responsibility to provide refreshments to the students, or to ensure that they have been informed to bring their own.


The trainer reserves the right to remove any disruptive student from the course where this is affecting the other students.


Maximum number on any First Aid Course is 12 students per trainer. Where more than 12 students are booked, the booking will be treated as two bookings.
